Welcome to 4th Grade Music!
We have two big focuses this year. One is learning the names of the Treble Clef staff. The other is taking learning how to play an instrument called the recorder. Due to COVID 19, we may have to work on this goal with xylophones. Students will receive a recorder and I will create virtual lessons, but for now, we cannot play them in class. This powerpoint is a review on the staff, lines, spaces, treble clef, and letters. The following websites have games to help kids practice reading the letter names of the notes. www.musictechteacher.com/music_quizzes/quiz_word_warrior_treble.htm http://musicteachersgames.com/TREBLECLEFONE http://www.teachingideas.co.uk/notation/name-that-note makingmusicfun.net/flash/eekshark.php vicfirth.com/speed-note-reading-tutor/ http://classicsforkids.com/games/note_names.php Due to Covid, we are currently not performing on the recorder. The following notes are being kept here for future use. We are playing the melodies below in bell sets (glockenspiels), xylophones, and virtual xylophones on the Chromebooks.
